Canberra to host Associations Forum National Conference 2027

Canberra is pleased to announce that it will be the host destination for the Associations Forum National Conference in 2027.
As the premier event for the associations, charities and not-for-profit sector, the conference brings together decision-makers to share insights, explore best practice, and discuss the future of governance, leadership and advocacy.
Canberra is a natural choice for hosting this event. As Australia's policy and decision-making hub, the city offers a unique environment for collaboration, learning and connection.
Canberra Convention Bureau, in partnership with the National Convention Centre Canberra and Trippas White Group at the Australian War Memorial, was pleased to work with the host organisation, Associations Forum, to bring this important event to Canberra. The event is expected to attract more than 400 delegates, representing organisations that regularly deliver conferences, meetings and events across Australia.
Andrew Barr MLA, Chief Minister of the ACT welcomed the announcement, describing it as a vote of confidence in Canberra as Australia's meeting place and one of the country's premier destinations for business events.
"Securing the Associations Forum National Conference 2027 is a great win for Canberra's business events sector," said Canberra Convention Bureau CEO Michael Matthews.
"The conference aligns with Canberra's strengths as a destination for leadership and advocacy, and provides an excellent opportunity to showcase our city to national organisations that plan business events."
Set to take place from 28-29 April 2027, the conference will deliver a meaningful program for delegates, including a spectacular gala dinner at the Australian War Memorial.
"Given the timing of the conference, we encourage delegates to arrive early, explore Canberra's iconic national attractions and take the opportunity to participate in a moving ANZAC Day commemoration at the Australian War Memorial," said Mr Matthews.
"We look forward to welcoming the association sector to our nation's capital and showcasing the experiences, knowledge and opportunities that make Canberra an outstanding destination for conferences, meetings and events."
